History:
When William Hicks met Natalie Allen in a small, out of the way pub, he had no way of knowing that she was a witch. All he knew of witches was from movies like the Wizard of Oz and those funny green faced ones with warts that he saw on Halloween. All he knew was that the shy girl was very pretty and he wanted to get to know her more.
Fast forward three years and William had indeed made the girl his wife. It was not until after their wedding that Natalie told him about her magic, and at first, he was accepting, but then he...changed. He became domineering and controlling of his new bride, and the abuse started soon after. Since he was a farmer, he moved his new bride out to a farm right outside of the city, and it was here that Chelsea, their first child was born.
Chelsea grew up on the farm, and it was here that she learned to hunt, fish, ride horses, and work. They were not very well off, so everyone was expected to chip in on the farm. If she did not meet her father's expectations, she payed for it. She learned at a very early age to fear him and later to do what she could to protect her mother and younger sister from his rages, which only got worse when he drank.
When she got her Hogwarts letter when she turned eleven, she was thrilled, but her father, seeing one of his free farmhands leaving potentially, forbid it. It was only after her mother finally put her foot down that she was able to go. Though both she and her mother payed for it dearly.
At school, she tries to make friends, but is due to her trust issues, she is scared to let anyone get too close to her. She is a gifted athlete and finds release on the quiddich field as chaser for her house team. She aspires one day to be someone who stands up for abused kids like herself, she channels all of her energy into accomplishing that goal.
MUGGLE WORLD
Alias:J
RP Experience:about eight years or so
RP Sample:
Dammit! Would these emotions and feelings that she was having ever go away? Would she ever learn that the entire world was not out to get her? Chelsea tried hard, she really did, but the reactions like the one that she just had just kept on coming. It was not not something that she could control, though she desperately tried to do so. Living in fear for so many years had left her gun shy to say the least, and she was starting to give up hope that she would ever be "normal" again. That she would be able to have a day were the slightest sudden movement from someone would not send her into a panic attack. She wanted to stop it, but had no idea at all how.
Still, the girl she had run into did not seem to be too threatening, not even the slightest bit. She did look a bit...odd, but what was that worth. She was the last person to judge anyone. and given her current situation, she felt as though she had no right to do so anyway. She took a few moments to calm herself down and breath. This was not a life or death situation, she told herself. She was safe here, the headmaster had told her so. He was the only one that she knew of, that knew of her situation, and he had promised to help her with it as much as he could, though she did not have much faith in that. She was safe, and this girl, who had just introduced herself as Hayley, was not going to harm her. The most she would do is be annoyed and perhaps think a little less of her, but no one had ever died from either of those things.
When she had finally calmed down enough to the point to where she thought she could speak, she finally opened her eyes just in time to see Hayley put her robe back on. The glint of the prefect badge was evident even in this light, so she knew what it was even without Hayley being stuck with it. It was no big deal, she told herself, she was captain of the house quiddich team so that made the two of them equals, in a way. Nothing to be concerned about.
